Course
yes, we are an ATO (Accredited Training Organisation) by Peoplecert examination institute, the sole exam provider for PRINCE2 on behalf of Axelos (Axelos owns PRINCE2). Our trainers go through a rigorous onboarding process and our courseware is signed off by Peoplecert examiners.
If you have already passed your PRINCE2 foundation exam and have signed up for the practitioner PRINCE2 training course, you will get everything you need to pass the PRINCE2 practitioner exam when you purchase a course from us. Your course package includes the official Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 publication (2017 Edition), our course slide manual and practitioner exam.
Our weekday PRINCE2 training course runs over four days, Monday-Thursday, 9:30 am - 5 pm daily. You will do the PRINCE2 Foundation level on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning (Foundation exam only). If you have signed up for the Practitioner only course you will attend Wednesday & Thursday with your Practitioner exam on Thursday afternoon.
PRINCE2 2017 is the latest and current version of PRINCE2. All of our PRINCE2 courses are the PRINCE2 2017 updated version, certified by PeopleCert Examination Institute on behalf of Axelos. We no longer offer PRINCE2 2009 as of August 2017.
We normally start promptly at 9:30 am and finish around 5 pm. This varies depending on your engagement and the length of coffee breaks. The objective of the course is to cover all the material and practice exams in a complete manner, so that you are comfortable with all the material, not to stick to a set number of hours of teaching.
Yes, you will need to do at least 2/3 hours homework every evening, based on your tutors advice. This will be a combination of reading and sample exams. Your tutor will help you as much as possible, but ultimately you need to do the practice exams and questions on your own to really get to grips with the syllabus and exam style.
Our PRINCE2 Trainers have typically been teaching PRINCE2 or worked in Project Management for over 10 years, having taught thousands of delegates in that time. Our trainers are all accredited by Peoplecert too, who make them undertake a rigorous on-boarding process. Our trainers have a lot of hands on Project Management experience in a host of industries, from the Financial sector to Engineering and Government.
The foundation level teaches you the basics of PRINCE2 and gives you details on the body of knowledge. We always recommend delegates do the practitioner level too as it teaches you how to apply the knowledge learnt at foundation using project scenarios. Its also more cost effective.
You will receive our excellent PRINCE2 PDF pre-reading when you confirm your booking with us. It will take around 3-4 hours to complete. We strongly recommend completing the pre-reading as there is a lot of content to cover on the PRINCE2 training course. Hard copies of the following will be provided at the venue for you: the official Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 publication (2017 Edition), Course slide manual and PRINCE2 practice exams.
Exam
The PRINCE2 Practitioner exam is 2 hours 30 mins long and is based on a project scenario. Total marks available are 68 and a pass mark of 38 (55%) is required. The PRINCE2 Practitioner exam is ‘open book’. The Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 publication, 2017 edition, should be used (and you can make notes inside the book), but no other material is allowed. If you are taking the exam in a language that is not your native or working language you may be allowed 25% extra time, i.e. 188 minutes in total.
