Faq's

Project Management is the use of knowledge, skills, processes and activities to achieve a defined end-result that might be either a new or updated product, a new service or a changed process. It involves a number of fundamental processes and includes managing a sequence of tasks from a defined project start date to a defined end date. These processes remain the same irrespective of the particular methodology used. You can take a project management training course to learn all the aspects of your chosen project management methodology. A project management course is a great way of gaining a qualification in project management.

A project management methodology provides a standard method for completing a project. It ensures a project is managed in a controlled and consistent fashion. There are a number of project management courses available to teach you all of the aspects of your chosen project management methodology.

A methodology aims to ensure that the project delivers a high-quality product on time and within budget. There are a number of different ways of managing a project depending on the nature of the project and a Project Management Methodology is the particular approach that will be used for any given project.

Project management training is a great way to gain a qualification in a project management methodology such as PRINCE or Agile.

It is also a suitable course for those already engaged in project management to ensure they are up to speed with the latest professional tools. Completing a recognised project management course is acknowledged as the most effective way to achieve this.

It is not only current or would-be project managers who are benefiting from taking project management training courses today. Anyone who finds themselves frequently engaged in the planning and execution of tasks designed to improve the ways in which their department or team operates, will find it a considerable benefit to attend a project management course to be able to complete such tasks in as timely, efficient and comprehensive way.

Project management courses can be expensive but they can be a very worthwhile investment in your current or future career. Whether you’re an individual looking to enhance your career, or an organisation providing ongoing training for your staff, a project management course can be a great way to gain the professional tools needed to run a successful project.

The Project Manager is responsible for each stage of the project and the final outcome. They will work closely with the project team and the stakeholders during these stages.

They main responsibilities of a project manager is to confirm business objectives, identify and manage risks, establish project requirements, estimate and allocate resources, monitor and report on project progress and handle any changes or issues.

As well as having experience in project management, a good project manager will complete a project management course such as PRINCE2 or Agile to gain the necessary knowledge in order to manage projects successfully. Project management training can be a good decision to make to improve your future prospects in project management.

A Project Schedule is part of a Project Plan. It includes a list of tasks, resources, estimates, milestones, dependencies and planned start and finish dates for each task. The project schedule is used to track the progress of the project.

A Project Plan is the collection of documents concerning different areas of Project Management such as: Risk management, Quality Control, Communication, Project Schedule, Scope and Costs.

A great way to learn of all the project management terminology is to attend a project management course. Project management training allows you to gain the skills and knowledge needed to be a successful project manager.

A Project Risk is an event that may or may not occur during a project lifecycle. It is predicted to have a negative impact on the ultimate aim of the project. There are a variety of different types of risk such as financial, technical, functional and personnel risks.

It is important as an on-going task throughout the lifecycle of a project to assess project risks.

As a project manager it is important to be aware of all of the potential risks on a project. Attending a project management course allows you to gain an understanding of the risk management tools needed for project managers to manage successful projects.

The Agile approach to project management involves an iterative approach to the different phases of a project so that the work required is completed in small sections and reviewed before subsequent sections are started. The AgilePM course is a very popular project management course.

The advantage of the Agile approach is that problems can be dealt with more easily as they are highlighted sooner. This means it is more cost-effective to alter and subsequently more likely that the project will be completed on time and within budget.

You can gain an AgilePM qualification by attending a project management course so you have the knowledge and tools to tackle a project using the Agile approach. Researching project management courses can be a worthwhile task before choosing the right project management training for you.

PRINCE2 is a project management method widely adopted around the world. It is a very popular project management course. It is used by people and organisations from a wide-range of industries and sectors.

Yes, absolutely. Both ourselves and our AgilePM trainers are fully accredited by APMG International.

Attending one of our classroom or virtual project management courses such as AgilePM is a great addition to your CV.

The most fundamental difference between the project management course PRINCE2 and AgilePM is that PRINCE2 is a project management methodology whereas Agile refers to numerous software development approaches used by teams which subscribe to the 12 Agile principles.

There are many different Agile approaches, the most famous being Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, and Lean.

PRINCE2 is a customer-focused project management methodology. It offers a set of principles, themes and processes to enable an organisation’s key managers to justify a project.

Agile methods are aimed at the supplier and the teams doing the work - whether part of a project or not. They focus on questions for the team such as “what needs to be delivered next week?” and “is the working software what the customer needs?”

Attending a project management course is a great way to learn about the aspects of both of these Project Management techniques.

When you have chosen an accredited training provider and signed up for your chosen project management course you should be provided with all the necessary training and support materials to help you prepare for your exams.

Your qualified trainer should provide support and guidance throughout your project management course.

You should check out the training providers pass marks for their project management course as they will be a good indicator of how well you should perform in your exams as well as give you the confidence you need before embarking on your project management course.
