MSP® Practitioner in a Nutshell
  • This combined MSP® Foundation and Practitioner course, taught by our engaging and experienced trainers, will ensure that delegates acquire all the information they need to become efficient MSP® Practitioners and pass both exams.
  • This is a highly sought-after certification because it gives individuals a competitive edge in business, especially due to it being highly desired by a multitude of employers.

MSP® is an acronym for Managing Successful Programmes. The MSP certification allows you to learn about the framework used whereby large, complex change can be broken down into manageable, inter-related.

MSP is a framework designed to ensure successful programme management. The MSP methodology was formed from the collective expertise and experience of practitioners across a range of industries making it a comprehensive and highly flexible approach. It has been adopted by many organisations within both the public and private sectors. You will learn all of the key aspects of the MSP methodology on an MSP training course.

If a company adapts the MSP method they will achieve many benefits, including:

  • Alignment with business goals
  • A solid structure for achieving programme benefits
  • Flexible change management framework
  • Boost stakeholder participation and engagement
  • Achieve changes on time and within budget

Today’s organisations exist in a climate of constant and increasing change. Organisations that have learned how to transform themselves through effective leadership and strategic control are more likely to survive and prosper. Programme management is increasingly being recognised as key to enabling organisations to manage that transformation.

The MSP qualification is made up of two levels- the Foundation level and the Practitioner level.

The Practitioner MSP certification is aimed at business change managers (BCMs), project managers and people working within a Programme Office (PO) or in a specialist or governance position. Gaining the practitioner level MSP qualification allows you to demonstrate your ability to understand and apply the MSP principles, governance themes, and transformational flow processes when managing a programme.

The Practitioner level MSP course is designed for project, programme and business change managers who want to apply the MSP framework to real-life scenarios. Practitioner is a must-have MSP certification for both project and programme management professionals who need to deliver organisational value for their employers and to boost their careers.

The MSP Practitioner level qualification is aimed at project managers, business change managers (BCMs), and people working within a Programme Office. It demonstrates your ability to understand and apply the MSP principles, governance themes, and transformational flow processes when managing a programme.

You must hold a Foundation level certificate before signing up to a Practitioner level course. Our combined (F&P) course is a great way to achieve both levels within one week.

If you have already passed your MSP Foundation exam and opted to take the MSP Practitioner course you will already have a good understanding of the Managing Successful Programmes Methodology, you will therefore learn about more advanced MSP methods on your Practitioner course. Including how to run a project on MSP principles and methodology and how to apply the MSP principles to real-life projects.

You will then sit your Practitioner exam on the final morning of your course.
