Rathbone Training UK closes its doors for Project management courses
Rathbone training was a UK training provider specialising in apprenticeships and training for young people.
Newcastle College confirmed that, following a detailed review and consultation, Rathbone Training and Intraining would be wound down. There were around 4k delegates being trained between the two providers, most of which were apprentices when the consultation was launched. The college said most of these have completed their training or moved to other Accredited training course providers.
Rathbone and Intraining had several training centres across the country but this accounted for less than 20 per cent of the college group’s revenue in 2017/18. A number of these apprentices would have gone on to study PRINCE2 project management and Agile Project Management in the digital sector as Professional demand for Certified training courses increases.
Their loss of revenue would still place NCG as one of the largest college group, in terms of sales and profit, in the country. The largest is the LTE Group, which includes The Manchester College and a subset of independent training providers Total People and Novus.
